How To Add a Direct Message(DM) Link To a Tweet
Pinned Tweet with a DM Link to my Twitter private message

I have been receiving a lot of messages asking me to teach how I added a DM link (as seen above) to my tweets. Without further ado, here are 4 easy steps to add a DM link to a Tweet (Twitter);

  1. Make sure that you have enabled “Accept DM from anyone” through your Twitter setting. Click here to learn how.
  2. Go to http://tweeterid.com/ to find out your Twitter numeric ID. Just type in your username, your ID will be displayed on the right.
  3. Add this line to the end of your tweet: https://twitter.com/messages/compose?recipient_id={your account’s numeric user ID}
  4. Please note; don’t include the “{ }” when typing in step (3).

Example:

Making this tweet will give the result shown in the image below:

If you love me, send me a DM https://twitter.com/messages/compose?recipient_id=457717637 (note that the number at the end is my twitter ID gotten in step 2)

I hope this works for you 🙂

Let me know if you have any issues implementing this. Leave a comment below or shoot me a DM on Twitter.
